Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) essential oil may be distilled from the flowering tops of the plant or the leaves and stems before flowering begins.

This product is 100% pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil

Rosemary is used for its stimulant effects upon memory and concentration. It is useful as an expectorant in respiratory diseases and may help alleviate muscular aches and aid poor circulation.

A good recipe for poor circulaton and muscular aches; Add 3 drops of Rosemary oil to 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and rub vigorously into the soles of the feet to help stimulate the circulation. This blend can be used to any aching spot. Massaging well to aid the penetration of the essential oil.

Rosemary oil is also renowned for its effectiveness as a hair and scalp treatment. It is a tonic for dark hair especially and ideal as a treatment for greasy hair, dandruff and to soothe an itchy scalp.

A good recipe for problems such as greasy hair, dandruff and an itchy scalp;

Add 1 teaspoon of Rosemary oil to 1 teaspoon of wheatgerm oil and 1 tablespoon of soya oil. Mix / Shake well. Massage gently on the scalp for a few minutes, cover hair with a warm towel (this helps absorption). Leave for approximately one hour and then wash off.

Caution: Do Not take Rosemary oil internally. It has a high content of camphor which may cause neurotoxic effects. Avoid using during pregnancy. Research also indicates that this oil should not be inhaled or used on the skin by people with epilepsy as the camphor content may trigger a seizure.
